You might have noticed recently that we have been promoting Skyscanner on the ends of our posts, and in our social media accounts. We wanted to formally explain why this is happening, and to help you to see why we are promoting them! Before we even created this blog, we used Skyscanner to help find cheap times to travel, and thanks to some of their useful features(such as the "Everywhere" choice for searching) we started to use them all the time to find cheap flights. When we started the blog, we decided to include their website, just on our own accord, so that we could pass the tip off to our readers. As time went on, we were noticed by Skyscanner and asked to join the Skyscanner Elite program. Now, we will never endorse and promote anything that we do not believe in, and that's why when we say that we use Skyscanner and trust it, we hope you do too.
Skyscanner works great because you can put your starting location, and then search for wherever you want to go.
Once you pick your destination, you have the option of putting in a date. You can either pick a specific date, or if you are flexible you can choose a whole month or even put in the cheapest month out of the entire year!
Once you pick the dates, you can hit "Search flights" and see what options are available for you. They do it based on country, so you can see what country you want to fly to. The lists is based off the cheapest country to fly to and goes up from there.
For example, clicking on the United States tab then gives you a list of cities that you can fly to from cheapest to most expensive. From there you can click on a city, and then a whole list of flights appears that you can then click on. Once you select your flight you can pick what website you want to use to buy the tickets. Skyscanner will then direct you to that website, so you can finish booking your flight. It is that easy!
That's not all Skyscanner offers though! It has car rental options, and hotel options! You can access these from the ticket page, or you can start a whole new search. Below you can see how clicking the hotel option then gives you a map of the city with hotels, and a list of hotels with links to get the best price for your stay. The same type options are available for renting a car.
Skyscanner lets you put together your whole vacation in a short amount of time while saving you the most amount of money! Have a certain place you want to go to, but are flexible on the dates? Skyscanner can show you the cheapest days. Have a certain time line, but flexible on the city? Skyscanner can show you the cheapest deals! We find it easy to use, and have had a lot of success with it! Plus they have an app, so if you are sitting around and bored on your phone you can look up travel deals.
