Aquariums and Zoos

Aquariums and Zoos

We have been to a lot of aquariums and zoos across America, and for some of them we haven't had the opportunity to list them on our blog! Due to that, we decided to create a page solely dedicated to the aquariums and zoos that we have been too.

Boston, MA

New England Aquarium
Located in downtown Boston, this aquarium has cute penguins, interactive exhibits, and bright tropical fish. Offering discounts for college students, military members, and teachers in New England. This aquarium is a partner in the CityPass program, as well as the Go Boston card. Depending on what hotel you stay at in the area you can get generous discounts through that too. The aquarium does not have any parking garages, but some are in the area. Taking the T is a great option to arrive at the aquarium too.

Mystic, CT

Mystic Aquarium
Located in Mystic near the Olde Mystick Village, this aquarium offers great shows, beluga whales, tropical fish, sea lions, sea otters, and so much more! They have discounts for military, seniors, AARP members, and Foxwoods Reward Card members. If you live in the area, consider becoming a member as you can get free admission for a year for less than the price of two visits! Parking is available on the grounds.

Philadelphia, PA

The parking is located across the street from the aquarium.

Washington, DC

Smithsonian National Zoo
Situated in the Cleveland Park neighborhood of DC, the National Zoo is a free zoo to experience elephants, zebras, pandas, and so much more! There is parking available, but it does cost money, and driving around DC is never easy. The best option is take the metro and walk to the zoo. There are two stations, the Cleveland Park Stop and the Woodley Park Stop. Depending on the direction shows which one is best for you.

Atlanta, GA
